When was the last time you read that book on your shelf,
the one with the dust all over its face?
Oh, don’t be so naïve, you know which one —
the one that speaks of God’s love and saving grace!
Well, since you’re slow to answer me by now,
then I take it you haven’t read its sacred pages in quite some time.
What? You consider it to be a book of useless knowledge?
Oh, you impatient, simple mind.
Know you not that if you would simply endure your studies,
the blessings of God’s true wisdom you will find?
Do not fail to further read it
as a result of the spiritual-ridicule this poem has to say.
Because it’s only yourself, towards those cherry wood shelves,
that you stack God’s good book away,
holding within your erroneous mind,
“Every now and then, I’ll just simply pray!”
Do not be so deceived,
for the closing times of our final salvation is surely near.
Thus, from the very first moment of our earthly births,
God intended for us to read our
